Dow's Vintage Port

Dow's 1985 Vintage Port

A classic Vintage Port. After more than three decades ageing in bottle, the Dow’s 1985 Vintage Port has really come into its own. Complex aromas of mature red and dark fruits mingle with Dow’s hallmark peppery spice. Beautiful red fruit flavours with rounded, silky tannins lead to a long and dry finish. Wonderful to drink now but will continue to age for many years.

Dow's 1994 Vintage Port

An iconic vintage year producing exceptional wines. The 1994 Vintage Port is wonderfully fresh with focused fruit aromas and notes of liquorice. Seductive and muscular on the palate with Dow’s typical peppery tannins underpinning incredible structure, the 1994 is irresistible now, yet still has decades ahead of it.

Dow's 1997 Vintage Port

The last to be bottled in the 20th century, the 1997 is a classic Dow’s Vintage Port. A typically spicy nose with aromas of blackberries, currants, and cocoa. Fantastic balance and structure on the palate with lovely black fruit flavours. Very enjoyable now, but still has lots of potential for further ageing.

Dow's 2000 Vintage Port

The first of the 21st century, the 2000 viticultural year was a challenging one, but delivered a very small but excellent crop. After two decades ageing in bottle, the 2000 Vintage Port is really singing with lovely aromas of plums and cassis. Cherry and fig come to fore on a marvellously complex palate, finishing with Dow’s hallmark dryness.

Dow's 2003 Vintage Port

An exceptionally good viticultural year produced this wonderful Vintage Port with intense and complex aromas of ripe red and black fruits combined with rockrose. Powerful and full-bodied with ripe tannins, the 2003 has rich fruit and layers of bitter chocolate with Dow’s characteristic dry and peppery finish.

Dow's 2007 Vintage Port

A legendary vintage that produced “the greatest Dow ever made”, according to James Suckling of Wine Spectator, who awarded the 2007 Dow’s Vintage Port the perfect 100-point score. Tremendous concentration with flavours of plum, cassis and Dow’s dry spiciness. Bold and complex, this is a wine for the ages.

Dow's 2011 Vintage Port

A stunning year in the Douro producing Wine Spectator’s Wine of the Year with 99 points. The silky Touriga Franca from 2011 stars in this wonderfully aromatic and floral Vintage Port with delightful aromas of cassis and redcurrant. Fruit, tannins and fresh acidity are finely balanced with lovely notes of green figs and bitter chocolate. Fantastic ageing potential.

Dow's 2016 Vintage Port

Five years on from the lauded 2011 Vintage Port, perfect conditions enabled the production of the outstanding 2016 Vintage Port. Typically Dow’s in its intensity with deep, brooding aromas of black plum, lavender and Douro schist. A beautifully toned wine with impressive structure and substantial ageing potential.

Dow's 2017 Vintage Port

An extremely rare second successive vintage declaration produced an astonishing Vintage Port with tremendous depth and intensity in colour. Fresh floral aromas with notes of rockrose are reminiscent of Senhora da Ribeira, while on the palate, it is exceptionally full-bodied with gorgeous ripe fruit and fine tannins.
